No, I actually do the threads for the people that find them entertaining and insightful. And each time I get folks like these who jump in without actually reading, we do the "go back and read" bit, and some of them get it and some of them don't. And the ones who do, find themselves reading more carefully, not as easily taken...I've actually watched over the years as some really do pick something up from it and read more carefully, more genuinely, after going through this.

Rape is a social issue; not racial. Black people in the US tend to be less well off economically, so there will be more negative consequences socially (as happens with any impoverished group), and because many Americans tend to deal with such effects as a racial rather than social problem... they never approach it in a way that it can be fixed. This is not quite correct. Your analogy with paint has mislead you: white paint is white, yes, but it's not superwhite. You see, it's hard to imagine white that's whiter then white, isn't it?
