The thing is, Messi and Martino complained with the referees at the end of the match, something Messi shouldn't be able to do. I think Jordi Alba grabbed by the neck one of the Monterrey's staff in many of the reports that came in so. I am pretty sure something will come out of it

Haven't done a league update in a while due to lack of time, so here we go:

Premier League - The three-way title race is on! Liverpool hold a two-point advantage over Arsenal and are three points ahead of Man City with eight games left. While Liverpool have the GD cushion against City, Arsenal enjoy a +6 GD advantage over Liverpool, which is their key to a tiebreaker if they are tied on points with the Reds. Neither the Gunners nor Cityzens could assert themselves for top spot after their 0-0 draw against one another, so they need other results to go their way to take top spot. The race for Europe is tight, with Man United, West Ham, Newcastle, and Brighton looking to fight for those spots. The relegation battle became more interesting due to Forest and Everton's point deductions for FFP reasons.
La Liga - Abu Dhabi-owned Girona fell to 3rd as both Real Madrid and Barcelona secure the top two spots. So far, it's Real Madrid's title to lose. While Almeria and Granada are locks to get relegated, Cadiz, Celta Vigo, Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca, Sevilla, and Alaves are at risk.
Bundesliga - Leverkusen continue to assert their dominance and took advantage of favorable results their way on route to a 13-point lead over perennial farmers Bayern Munich with seven games to go. Bayern in particular suffered a home derby defeat to Dortmund, ending their dominant run over their rivals. Stuttgart sit three points behind Bayern in third, a testament to how far off Bayern have fallen as well as their stunning rise.
Serie A - Inter enjoy a 14-point lead over derby rivals Milan with eight games left and it appears nobody can stop them. Juventus falls to 3rd as Milan are six points above them. Bologna have been this year's surprise package and are in 4th place, led by rising manager Thiago Motta. While Salernitana are firmly in place to get relegated, the gap between 13th and 19th is only four points.
Ligue 1 - Nothing much to see here, as Qatar looks to continue their farming ways. At least Lyon has managed to recover from their horrendous early-season form and pushed themselves up to 10th.

Managerial hot seat time:

1. Mauricio Pochettino: While he just bought himself time after a lucky win over Man United (who were just a bit more shit than them), it doesn't change the fact that the Blues are still in 10th and have been massively disappointing. The ownership expected improvement after a massive summer spending haul bringing in the likes of Caicedo and Lavia, but nothing is clicking for them at all.
2. Erik Ten Hag: If he can get any result against Liverpool, he might extinguish some of the flames at the moment. A poor showing in the derby and fans plus media will give him less patience to turn the ship around.
3. Vincent Kompany: Many expected Burnley to do well in their return back to the top. However, Kompany is having a difficult time navigating the bottom of the table, trying to impose his possession-based style of play which has only produced 19 points in 31 games. He also has no experience in relegation fights, which makes his future rather uncertain if he's ultimately the right man to lead the Clarets.
4. Quique Sanchez Flores: After Sevilla sacked Diego Alonso earlier in the season, they are on their third manager of the season. While they are out of the relegation zone at the moment, there is a real chance that Sevilla pull the plug on Sanchez Flores at the end of the season.
5. Edin Terzic: Dortmund have had a rocky season but if he does perform well in the CL quarterfinals and keeps up some respectable results in the league, then he'll live to coach another season.
6. Carlo Ancelotti: Real Madrid are unpredictable. He could win a treble and the club will sack him on the spot.

Tuchel would be on the list, but it's confirmed he will be leaving after a disappointing stint at Bayern, only winning the Bundesliga thanks to Dortmund choking harder than the Atlanta Falcons in the Superbowl. Him, Klopp, and Xavi are confirmed to be leaving after the season's end. Xabi Alonso, on the other hand, will stay at Leverkusen and will not be hesitant to switch jobs until at least after the 2024-25 season. Some managers to watch on the radar for the biggest clubs include Sporting's Ruben Amorim (currently the front-runner to succeed Klopp at Liverpool), Feyenoord's Arne Slot, Stuttgart's Sebastian Hoeness, and Brighton's Roberto de Zerbi. Michel might draw some interest with his work at Girona. Similarly, Thiago Motta has been very impressive at Bologna and his playstyle is attractive to those wanting an attacking, possession-based game.

Eh, still I think it's exaggerating the impact. It's just another game of football, not the World Cup final. If it was the competition's final I'd get it, but it's not. Mexican or not, regardless of where the opponent is from, it's acting as if Inter Miami was this unbeatable team, which clearly aren't with or without Messi. Everyone knew they were getting to be eliminated beforehand. They simply suck, and we knew that since last season, they rely way too much on what the ex Barcelona trio can do, and they aren't getting any younger.
