*laughs* For a while I was a Commie while my boyfriend was (and still is) a Fascist. Now I find myself more...democratic (as in for democracy) which is still fairly across the spectrum. Makes for a good romance.

Communist and conservative

Postby Jaunty tunes » Thu Apr 15, 2010 10:35 pm

In year 12 my two best friends were a communist and a conservative. I see logic in most political approached. I think they made me very confused as every party I look at appears to have the majority of its legislation wrong. But I dont want any more extreem political party.

I think I am one of thoes odd people who makes up my own mind on political issues instead of following a party. And thats what i support in every political body. A politician who can make up their own mind.

A promising relationship ended election day when I started talking about lack of reform, this struck a chord with her who didn't want this particular reform to happen as it would affect her negatively. Needless to say we are never going to be the same again. But I think that was her not going to be able to cope I can live through it.

If you're talking about politics, your relationship's already on the rocks.

its so, you are right, i would do this (and i do it occassionally and successfully), but if you are not successful when the passion of the beginning passes, the relationship will not be successful. i dont mean the same political party, but the outlooks must be the same, we dont have problems with the part as i will convince her easily to vote for my party if she is not sure

As long as we have positive feelings towards each other, I wouldn't care if the woman was a monarchist. I'd still ream her like an angry monkey.
A young merc terminally ill with cancer, I signed on for a government "human weapon" program: Weapon X. They got rid of the cancer like they promised...sorta...by melding an advanced healing factor to it. The gruesome experiments left me physically and mentally scarred, so they put me in a mental ward where the guards held a dead pool. I escaped and rose to infamy, partly a hero.

For falling in love with a physical avatar of Death, I was cursed with life. I pissed off a divine power so that I could be with her again, but it failed. After I got struck down by some powerful lighting, I came back to life...as a breathing corpse. Fuck.

Since my politics come straight from the Sunnyvale Asylum for the Criminally Insane, I have to be willing to have partners with political views dissimilar to my own.

I have before, but generally it's just a matter of ignoring ignorant comments, she wasn't really into politics per se, just complaining about the flavour of the month from the church.

How about we put this one to bed again. It's going nowhere. You aren't going to change anyone's minds. Stick a fork in it kids - it's done.-Dread Lady Nathanica

Nope, and I wouldn't, because somebody who is my "political opposite" would necessarily have to believe that I am not deserving of basic human rights. I find that a turn-off. :D
