But there are some thing about the attack on Pearl Harbor that are scarcely discussed - do you think, for instance, that the US blockade on Japanese strategic imports to some extent created this crisis? Did the superior martial achievements of communist Russia in fighting off Japan make it inevitable that the slovenly colonial powers of the time would be attacked? And would the Americans have helped the Europeans if the Japanese had stuck to fighting over British, French, and Dutch colonial territories?
