Alright, so you somehow find yourself to be the president of your real life country, right. What would you plan to do in the first two terms? You aren't guaranteed to be popular or have an easy time get them all done, but just enough people will support and work for you to get it passed each time.
1st Term
-Middle Eastern Withdrawal and Isolationist foreign policy.
-Tax negotiation of our global military bases in 1st world countries
-Protectionism
-Socializing Trade School
-Socializing private prisons and abolishing prison labour
-Infrastructure spending
-Tax Reform for what I call the "Local Rich", Decrease for them, increase for the legitimately wealthy.
-Enact a forced spending law so the rich are forced to spend a certain amount of cash to expand their businesses, place restrictions on owner's equity.
-decentralizing the central bank
-abolishing the federal reserve
-Much stronger Illegal Immigration enforcement
-Environmentalism
-Repeal the Patriot Act
-Lower Taxes on Corporations, remove loopholes
Obviously I'm mostly going for a buisness approach here. Really only touching upon Surveillance, Illegal Americans, and Foreign Policy for the social aspects. I'll probably get the nationalist, rural democrat , and republican vote but I'm skeptical whether Socialists would be willing to put up with such harsh immigration laws and abolishing the federal reserve for Decentralizing the banks, environmentalism, War Withdrawal, and a more worker focused buisness approach.
2nd Term
-Electoral Reform favoring third parties and independents, national IDS, and limited and public campaign finances.
-Gun right reaffirmation and introduce a national stand your ground act
-affirmative action repeal
-Charter school expansion in rural and urban communities
-raising teacher salaries
-Abolish the department of education and leave it to the states.
-abolishment of most forms of welfare
-unconditional basic income
-Reform on Federal Union laws favoring right to work yet also union formation in businesses deemed necessary by the government.
-Deregulation on the bureaucracy of business start up
-Alternative Energy Spending
-End Police Quotas
-Government sponsored maternity leave
-Congressional Term limits and tie Politician's salaries with the average american's salary
-legalize secession
-federal balanced budget act.
-Legalize Hate Speech, Obscenity, and threats of violence. Leave Slander up to the states.
This one mostly focuses on spending on social and spending issues. This is where I image I'd have a much bigger problem with than my buisness pursuits. I'd probably be worse at balancing the budget on than most presidents or even the person on the street. I may get the Urban vote with some of these policies, but not likely. I'll definetly get the regular democrat's vote this time but socialists may have to begrudgingly vote for me again if just for the Electoral reform. Libertarians would hate me throughout, but may like me some of my social policies.

Cut military spending in half, cut foreign ties to Israel and begin supporting the Palestinian state, withdraw from NAFTA, withdraw from NATO, withdraw from the UN, decrease foreign aid spending with nations that are openly against us, raise tariffs on products coming into the United States, create an open border policy with South and Central American nations who have citizens in third world conditions, and streamline the citizenship process for all foreign nationals.

Domestic
Raise taxes on the top .1% to 65% and bring capital gains taxes to the same level. Raise corporate taxes to 35%, small and medium sized businesses would get a tax cut in the form of a monetary incentive to hire the long term unemployed and new immigrants. Universal healthcare as a right. 4 years of public college tuition free. Minimum wage raised to $15 an hour with yearly adjustments for cost of living with the inclusion of a $1,000 a month guaranteed basic income. Eliminate subsidies for oil and coal companies but move that funding and give tax cuts to green energy companies to put us on a path to 100% green energy by 2050.


At this point, as a progressive/socialist who wants to see America move to the left, we need to accept that we cannot focus on social issues that much. Those don't resonate with everyone like economic and foreign policy does. I am all for equality for LGBTQIA+ people and other minorities, but we also need to remember, that type of stuff is much easier to do once you are in power. Win elections on economics then bring social stuff up as President and Governor. That is just my opinion.

Seeing as being a President somehow magically makes me some sort of supreme dictator I'd turn the US into a federation of anarchist communes and then resign. More realistically, though, I'd pardon quite a large number of people (all nonviolent drug offenders in US prisons, Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, etc.), pack the NLRB with labor organizers and tell them to basically not enforce Taft-Hartley, cancel the TPP and TTIP (trade agreements should be tariff reduction agreements, not new rounds of neoliberalism), declassify materials over, say, 25 years old (it's not really goingto appoint only the most left-wing Supreme Court justices, and above all focus on winning the House and the Senate, which would be necessary to accomplish various goals. Those are the main things I can think of at the moment; considering the legislative composition of the House and Senate there's not all that much I could accomplish.

I would form an organization similar to that of the Second International, an organization that can properly coordinate and work to achieve far-leftists goals. I ultimately would use the massive military and economic might of the US to outwardly spread the Revolution, though probably not through direct invasion.
