I was using a nonpartisan dictionary definition of sexisum, and politely conceded my point that it is indeed possible to be sexist against men. I originally though that the dictionary definition was not inclusive of that. In short I am recognizing that I made an honest mistake in my definition and am conceding the point like a gentleman.

It's not even true in the US. The cat tribes did a workup some years ago and there's about a dozen states where penetrating someone is rape or sexual assault in the first degree (some states do not have a "rape" statute per se), but being made to penetrate with a penis on not rape or sexual assault in the first degree, being relegated to sexual assault in the second or third degrees.

I get it, it can be uncomfortable being around people outside a given social group. However, that being said, if you try to weed out everyone who makes you uncomfortable from the space around you, you wind up becoming rather . . . sheltered.

The human mind thrives on conflict. If we don't have something to fight against, we will make something up. This is why each generation believes the next is wimpy and entitled- the progress they fought for made life easier, so the next generation had to find a new enemy to fight.

Don't get me wrong, there are definitely problems to be had on the front of body issues . . . but a university gym isn't exactly the appropriate target for such frustrations.

Not to mention, as another user said, it's illegal to implement inherently sexist policies in a public institution, which a university gym technically is.

This was just really a poorly thought out idea, from start to finish.
