That mentioning of mourning reminds me... it would be nice if you could get your original nation back after a while, even when it would not be allowed to access the forum anymore.

Understood, but that would take a certain amount of effort expended in coding, I suspect, in order to benefit people who have repeatedly broken the rules. It doesn't seem a realistic possibility.

Yeah, sometimes we have to be strict. Always tough to see someone you genuinely enjoy go down the bad route.

I think I came pretty close to not getting modded because of my friendship with a DOS player. I still will feel really bad about it if he shows up and I have to turn him in.

It's just that previous nation, originating from antiquity and everything, was put to DEAT by Reploid Productions under somewhat iffy circumstances, but GHRs only resulted in a choir of anonymous moderators (if it wasn't just one person, I have no way at all to check these things) speaking with one voice. I narrowly avoided damaging myself seriously, but it is very easy to find myself in a dark place again when I think too much about it.
