I didn't say "All blacks should be lynched." or "All jews need to be gassed." I simply expressed my opinion. I understand there isn't a concept of free speech here, but I'm just not seeing the reasoning behind this.

Shooting an unarmed man unless he poses an immediate threat to the officer or a civilian is just unprofessional. If he was uncooperative, the cops could have tackled him manually, used batons, pepper spray or tasers if they felt he was too strong for them to handle safely, or at worst shot him in a leg. As I understand, the trigger-happy officers in question failed to even try anything of the above, making this a flagrant case of criminal misconduct.

I understand that the victim wasn't even actively resisting, but was merely being uncooperative, which doesn't even qualify as passive resistence. That makes this incident all the more a flagrant violation of basic police protocol, the offending officers displaying an alarming lack of professionalism as well as a callous disregard for human life. Whatever motivated them to shoot, these people quite evidently have no business wearing the badge.

I do not condemn all police nor do I believe all police or bad but this nonsense needs to stop. It seems like every other week we hear a story about police brutality or someone getting shot who didnt need to be. Something needs to be done about this wheather its better training or courses in non violent confrontation but it seems like more and more police are abusing their power.

I think it says alot when we have to constantly say "not all police are bad".
Either way I'd still hesitate to call the police if I had a non-white friend within a 50-foot radius, the police might become suddenly terrified.
