IMO, replacing men's, women's and transgender restrooms with individualised cubicles might be a viable solution that includes transgender individuals via mutual exclusion (individualism). It may hold other problems but, for the aforementioned issue, perhaps excluding everybody from a collective restroom may be the most effective solution.

So I recently ran accross a survey of the current university population and 11% of students are a sexual minority, and 1% were a gender identity than male or female (so gender non-binary) [1] Given that, according to the APA up to 40% of TGNC people are non-binary [2] this can be reverse calculated that the TGNC population on a given campus is 2.5% (1.5% Binary 1% Non-binary).

This could perhaps be a more accurate estimate of the TGNC (Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming) population, as well as for the LGBT+ population as a whole. I believe, as we increasingly see a society where a greater amount of people do not have to conceal their gender identity or sexuality, that we will be seeing larger, more accurate, estimations about the LGBT+ population.

And of course in Ye Olde Days, being able to stealth/pass as the preferred gender was often a prerequisite to treatment. There wasn't any room for NB/GNC people in the 1970s!

Me too. But to prevent it completely, transwomen - regardless of if they pass or not - should be allowed in the bathrooms of their gender.
