The US justice system is worryingly bad at killing people properly. Firstly they keep killing the wrong people (IE unarmed civillians), and then when they do manage to get somebody through a trial onto death row they probably won't be executed, and if they then manage to get the poor sod into an execution chamber there's a fair chance they'll totally fuck it up and leabe them to an agonising demise, or even fail to kill them completely.
