I may have to shave one of our cats, because she keeps getting ridiculous knots in her fur, no matter how much brushing or care one gives it. I'll just go through all the bother of gently working out all I can, then carefully snipping out what I can't, and BOOM. Knotted again. Dadgum calico p.i.t.a. >_>

That's the drawback of longhaired cats. I groom mine every night, she loves having her fur brushed, and I still end up having to snip some of the knots that form.

Today was meeting day purgatory, but the results went well.

I had my last boss ask me if I were free to 'help out' with their annual Big Event because apparently, in the past 3 years, they've yet to find someone who could do all I did at that office. Yep - my own boss now, though I'm not rolling in dough, and out of the blue asked to come back and work with the people who FIRED ME on the very day I came back from a month of medical leave, non-paid. For utterly bullshit reasons that were fabricated, and all sorts of bs.

Smug, I say. Smug.

And yes, they're serious. It'd more likely be a 'consultant' type arrangement where I could work from home plenty.

Awww ... I can be surprisingly gentle. You've only been exposed to my more rough and ready side here on NS. That's why y'all 'hired' me there for a while, iirc. We'll have to find a nice young shepherdess or some such to take care of you, though. I'll just take the wool after and get it all carded and such so we can do some weaving or the like. That's another craft I really want to learn - and you could help get me started!
