Pros: Meritocracy, Monarchy, Egalitarianism, free speech and free expression (Most of these are a given)

Cons: Feminism, people who put feelings before fact, and Islam also people who think the "Guilty until proven innocent" mentality is acceptable.

If it is thrown to the house, they might come to a roadblock and compromise with Johnson. Very unlikely but the most possible scenario IMO. Best bet is Utah or New Mexico.

I'd bet even Darrel Castle has a better chance then Stein. It's just not Stein's year.

I feel he would likely get it if it came to that, and him winning Utah is very reasonable if Romney actually endorses him, especially if he makes it to the debates. Really the only tough part is getting the other two to tie. Though if Gary wins New Mexico that will be a big step in helping a tie happen.

The immaturity of libertarians and the general uselessness of political libertarianism are largely why I stopped being one. Not to mention that a libertarian society would be impossible once the US achieves Brazil-tier diversity.

Trying to implement libertarianism in a class-stratified society full of crime-ridden barrios and ghettos, which are themselves full of high-time preference individuals killing each other over the latest sneakers is not going to work.

On second thought, that sounds exactly like what anarcho-capitalist society would look like.

Exactly why it isn't a Libertarian one.

I have always considered myself sympathetic towards the proletariat, yet I can no longer associate with the left because I no longer believe that the left is truly a people's movement at this point. At the same time, I don't feel like I have a home on the right side, either. So I'm confused as to what wing I should describe myself as being part of. Does a classical liberal with some Toryist beliefs fit more with the contemporary right, or left?

You'd probably be more at home in the Libertarian thread. Old Tyrannia manages to stay here and he seems similar to you. This place is a real shit show at the moment.
