Isn't autism usually diagnosed later in life, like not before age 3?

Symptoms can actually appear as early as 6-12 months. It definitely can't be taken out of the equation at 18 months, but by the age of two children that were a bit slower earlier usually catch up to their peers.
That said, some children can be diagnosed earlier than 24 months. I once saw a 14-month-old boy who wasn’t babbling, making eye contact or engaging in social games. He played only in a highly repetitive fashion. By the time he was 18 months old, his autism diagnosis was very clear, and he responded well to early intervention.

It’s also important to remember that many high-functioning children with autism aren’t diagnosed until they enter school and start struggling socially.

https://www.autismspeaks.org/blog/2013/03/15/how-early-can-autism-be-diagnosed

However, autism, in all reality, is diagnosed within early childhood; that includes as late as when the child starts school.
The findings, which appear in the NCHS Data Brief, highlight areas where there is room for improvement, including earlier diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and access to behavioral therapies and other services. The new study looked at children aged 6 to 17 with special health care needs and autism spectrum disorder in 2011.

More than half of school-aged kids were age 5 or older when they were first diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, the study showed. Less than 20% were diagnosed by age 2.

So, actually, you're almost spot on about that.

FB used as a source for debate? Yup, NS Summer has started.
Dear Henry was one, but at least he wasn't in your home. Ha!
Anne Boleyn's coronation song:
''This White Falcon,
Rare and geason,
This bird shineth so bright;
Of all that are,
No bird compare
May with this Falcon White.
The virtues all,
No man mortal,
Of this bird can write.
No man earthly
Enough truly
Can praise this Falcon White.
Who will express
Great gentleness
To be in any wight;
He will not miss,
But call him this
The gentle Falcon White.''

What if I say vaccines have changed considerably and now contain multiple vaccinations in a single shot. Vaccines used to be a single shot for a single disease. The second issue is thimerasol which has been stopped. Thimerasol is no longer in vaccines. There are arguments that it is perfectly safe to give as many as 11 different vaccinations in a single visit. There is nothing wrong with asking that vacations be given over a length of time rather than all at once.

The second issue is that autism clusters around environmentally toxins. This means links it to multple environmental causes.
http://www.medpagetoday.com/neurology/autism/44758

The third issue is that there is a genetic component to autism. This is not linked to a specific gene.
https://www.geneticliteracyproject.org/ ... tism-gene/

You have two proven things happening-- 1 ) autism clusters around environmental toxins 2) autism has a genetic component. If I said that some people are more susceptible to environmental toxins because their genetics are more susceptible to chemicals, pollutants, and other toxins. How would you prove this? Could you do this if opposed by science and industry? Assuming it has multiple causes and no single cause like most western oriented medicine tells you. You smoke you get cancer. It is not until very recently that they can say you are genetically susceptible to be more likely to get cancer if you smoke. Your child is more likely to get autism or birth defects if you live near a coal power plant. You are more susceptible...
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... 120953.htm For me, this is a smoking gun much like the cigarette industry and cancer. It affects a lot of industries.

There is a study that is doing this, but there is too much noise right now.
