Well, there's nothing wrong with any of that, and if you need any help with coming to terms with this, there's a lot of people here who are not straight and would be happy to help with learning and support.
Nice to meet you, Astrol... and I am still trying to figure this out, but once I do maybe I'll need help or maybe I need help now I have no idea.
Not like I've done this before.

I can see wanting to leave (if not for New York City, I have few doubts that the hillbillies around here would have us legislated like Louisiana), but die? Isn't that a bit extreme?

Nice to meet you as well. Discovering you're Not StraightTM is definitely a confusing thing to go through, and society doesn't actually do anything to prepare you for it, since most of society's members either never encounter it or suppress it when they do. The most important thing is to keep an open mind about yourself.

It seems like the preferable alternative to outing myself as panromantic in a conservative neighborhood full of kids bigger, stronger and faster than me.

In my day, kids in homophobic areas waited till they went to college away before outing themselves, as it was a much safer for them to do so in more supportive enviorment.
Also sexual attraction is a lot more fluid than most people like to admit. Just because you wanted to kiss one boy doesn't make you gay. Take your time and you will figure it out.

You don't have to come out in public if you don't feel like you're in a place where you can do so safely. It's your business, not theirs.

I'm not sexually attracted to guys. I'm emotionally attracted to basically anyone - hence 'panromantic'. The guy I almost kissed was gay [or, he told me he was]. I've also noticed lately I have odd feelings concerning guys and girls, even ones I know who are transgender (all of those kids are the lucky bastards on the liberal side of things qq).

Like everyone's been saying, sexual attraction isn't always straightforward (pun intended or not, take it not). Some people spend their whole lives knowing their sexuality and some never figure it out completely. Just do what you're comfortable with. Don't feel pressured to behave one way or another because of something you think you are or aren't.

If there's one thing psychology is most definitely not, it's orderly. Can you get access to a professional (preferably one who isn't a pill-pusher)?

Well, I was planning to see a psychiatrist anyways to officially diagnose my OCD and stuff. And hopefully I get one who isn't a pill pusher, as well as that patient-doctor confidentiality thing so I can figure this out with them.
Does that work? Maybe? please tell me that works. I need something that is going for me.

I'm fairly certain you'll have that assurance.
