Not even many trans people are fans of Jenner. The issue taken with your post is the broad statements against the state of being trans itself and not the fact that they were directed at Jenner.

Regardless of who deserved to win an award, transitioning is a might more emotionally strenuous not only for personal reasons but for how the culture we live in still regards trans people than you dismissively regard it. This is a world where people can and have gotten brutally murdered if not just treated like a goddamn grotesque monster for trying to undergo a heavy but very necessary life phase in order to truly be content with themselves as a human. Jenner or no Jenner, soldiers or no soldiers, "chopping off your balls" as you so eloquently put it takes a lot more balls than you give it credit.

Why do you care so much about a Sports networks award? And how does Caitlyn not qualify? She clearly did if she recieved it. And its not like they can only give one reward. Fuck, they can give out as many awards as they want. Maybe, just maybe, ESPN cares more about publicity and gave it to Caitlyn, a popular figure during the news at the time and still a bigtime celebrity, to benefit their own network.

And comparing the amount of "good" either did is arbitrary as fuck. What qualifies as "good for the USA" here?
