In no way is Atheism a disorder. No. Just, no. I was raised a Baha'i, but I choose to become Atheist after it was revealed to me that my proof of god was literally just the rant of a middle aged woman who's a fanatic. I chose cold-cut logic, eliminating any variables from my life (such as religion and the belief in something unproven.) Hence, I chose Atheism out of my own free will, not a chemical imbalance.

Or at least when writing up your methodology you explain the issue of small sample size and how it is not generalisable.

I hate be that guy, but now the poll is just irrelevant to the topic at hand. I'm sure every parent would care if their child had a neurological disorder, but that's not the same as being Christian.

A better would be along the lines of:

a) I agree with OP; atheism is a neurological disorder

b) I don't agree wit OP; atheism isn't a neurological disorder

What the hell kind of idea is this? Atheists are different, it must be due to a disorder.

Exactly!

OP, are you saying that if someone switches to atheism after they're born, they develop a neurological disorder rather than being born with it?

Yes.

As an atheist who respects other's beliefs, this is extremely bigoted and the OP clearly has no respect for other people that don't conform to their beliefs.

I think it is far more likely that religion is a neurological or psychological disorder. It has many features of psychosis. The fact that most people currently follow some kind of religion hardly means we are wired for it. At one time, most people believed the world was flat. Did people who thought it was round had some kind of neurological disorder?
