So is consumerism, but no one wants to uncover the dark-side to starvation or poverty wages.

I'm not saying you're "believing that gods don't exist". I'm saying that you're just not "believing that gods exist".
That's what atheist means. It is binary. If you are not a theist, then you're a non-theist, also known as an atheist.
But I'm an apatheist. I think you mean it's a part of irreligion, not atheism.

Also sold his disciples as slaves, drunk all the wine, and demanded payment for miracles.

I think he would be cute to begin with, but annoying with repetition.

I didn't see your edit, sorry.
Atheism is just the absence of theistic belief. Atheism would include a belief that no gods exist, but just like how red is a colour and not all colours are red, not all atheists believe that no gods exist.
If you are not a theist, then you are an atheist.

Then I'm a Theatheist that doesn't care.
There's a word for that.
It's apatheism.

What was taxation then before the modern welfare state? Honest question? Like, was the Pharaoh's taxes more akin to rent or theft (given that in Ancient Egypt didn't have the concept of social spending) Honest question.

but rent is different from tax.
How is it different? Taxes pay for the essential services, defense, everything that the group democratically (at least nowadays) agrees we should pay for. The only difference is that if you don't help pay for rent you get evicted, and if you don't pay taxes you get jailed. I suppose you could argue that the punishment for tax evasion should be banishment rather than imprisonment or fines, but that still leaves the comparison to theft unexplained.

because you're paying someone to stay in their private property.
tax is paying the government so you don't get arrested and so that the politicians can get £60k a year sitting on their arse the entire time shouting at each other.
