I don't actually care about the plight of those in America the same way that when American women claim they have it so rough they pay no regard to Saudi women.

See, but your apathy towards the plight of people striving for equality in America is justification for the apathy of Americans towards the plight of people striving for equality in Saudi Arabia or anywhere else.

Quite simply, no matter what nation you live in, you are going to care about what is going on in your own country more than what is going on in other nations. However, once again, the "people in the world have it worse than you so you cannot feel bad whatsoever" gimmick is stupid.

This pretty much covers it. Understandably, people do have it worse, however it's always relative. Relative Poverty is a good example of this, where in a specific social framework of one nation's society, regardless of how developed it is, those living in poverty are on very low incomes will feel resentment towards those above them in the framework, and will naturally become depressed or down. Now, this specific poverty line of said nation might actually be the middle class line of another, less developed nation, however, since the nation aforementioned is the one said individual lives in, it is acceptable and makes sense that they would be more concerned with what is around them, and where they fit in exactly.

The interesting part of this, is that it can be addressed or used in other things. War being another prime example, where war on one's homefront has a far different impact on social configuration than a war one's nation is involved in, but is being conducted on another continent entirely. People go back and forth, even with varying definitions or beliefs of where the altruistic notion of assisting others, and what issues should be cared about, should matter. Some will look at the plight of another nation's people, with Ugatoo's belief, and see this as a reason that people in the better-off state shouldn't complain. Others, in your case, see the relative scheme of it. The sad reality is, the former is more of an unrealistic, although commendable approach, whereas the latter makes far more logical sense, even if it may seem more selfish.

She did something bad enough last year, under a different account, to get a Delete-on-Site order. They discovered she had returned, and re-deleted her new accounts.

To have become a DOS user on this site is no mean feat. They have a clear and continuous history of violations. They've had their third strike, and now they're out.

On the nature of DOS. You need to do something very bad for NS Moderation to declare you a DOS. Whatever Lucipurr/Kraylandia did was bad enough to earn them a DOS. Easy to understand.

That's true. my only qualm was over the fact that they weren't using the correct terms for her, calling her male, which i pointed out, and then decided that being DoS was good enough reason to not use said terms, which is quite the double standard if you ask me.

Which is entirely worthy of being banned depending on how far they go. but I wasn't aware most are guilty of felonies.

It was implied that she had continued to do whatever she did before, into 2015 as well, which helped push for the re-deletion. As the Mods said, few do get a second chance, but generally after several years, and on the notion that they'll behave and have matured.

Rape culture isn't socially accepting that rape is okay. Rape culture is allowing rape to happen while saying it's wrong but not actually doing something to stop it.

Rape culture is when women who seek help after being raped are questioned about what they were wearing rather than who, when, or where the rape happened.

Rape culture is when people say, "She was asking for it." -- Nobody asks to be raped

Rape culture is when we teach our daughters, sisters, female friends, and other women we care about to be cautious around men and how to not get raped, rather than teaching our sons, brothers, male friends, and other men to simply not rape people.

Rape culture is when, in 31 states, rapists can legally sue for child custody if the rape results in a pregnancy.

Rape culture is when the surviving victim is so outcast, so ignored, so unhelped after being raped that they feel depressed, worthless, dirty, unwanted, broken, and lead the victim to committing suicide.
