Firstly, for some reason when I saw the word pig, my mind flew to David Cameron. Oh dear.

Secondly, a disgusting incident. Thankfully rare, but its rising in my local area. And I think this quote from the OP's source sums up my view:

Its more indicative of some attitudes than anything especially horrific in itself.

Well, at least it wasn't a shooting...Or a bombing.

I'm honestly more worried about those happening to Mosques.

It's a shame. I hope they find who did this and give him some type of funny punishment. Like a day in a room with a pig. I know it's not possible but it would be funny. But I think Philly has more important things to deal with.

There's nothing to punish him for. There was no damage done to the building as far as we know and the pig's head is biodegradable.

You can get pigs heads at a butcher, so I doubt animal cruelty has anything to do with it.

Wow. I hope the people who did it realize they just pushed the Muslims they did this to closer to Daesh for it to recruit them. They probably wouldn't even care despite making it seem like they care and hate Daesh and Islamic extremists.

It's not considered a hate crime. What he did was completely legal. Not morally just, but not legally punishable.
