I can code fairly well, I make an effort to be cultured and understanding, I'm fairly good at making people feel comfortable, and I have an eye and feel for design.

I can use all of those productively into something that matters more than physical activity.

You american have your hour of P.E in the morning? It's quite strange. Here, we have them as the last classes of the day, usually from 15:00 to 17:00 or 16:00 to 18:00.

We have them during any period that fits into our schedule(Some have it at 1st period, some have it at the end of the day). Also, high school here usually ends around 3:00 pm(15:00), so yeah...

Or, y'know, get done with your PE credits and not have to take it.

I'd be caught dead before I actually put in effort in gym.

I used to sweat whenever I was in gym.

Then again, I've been doing kickboxing since I was 9 years old, and then pretty much been practicing martial arts on my own. So I knew how to sweat just by hitting the punching bags.

They did require PE for freshman year for me, but I never really took it until I was a senior student.

I pretty much did whatever the fuck I wanted back in High School, now that I think about it.

The issue I see is fear of lawsuit.

A government agency (i.e. the school) compelling teenage kids to take their clothes off (even with the best intentions) is bound to get some kind of uproar in this age. Beyond that, people are more sensitive. Teasing, exposure to human bodies, etc. is more taboo than it used to be.

They're junior high school students. Imagine summer, hot, humid, Japanese summer. 36 kids. Right after swim class.

There's no A/C in my classrooms.
