A normal day, most likely.

Unless you're in the hospital almost dying, there is no reason to miss work without facing the repercussions.

Holy fuck, they wouldn't dare do that to anyone in the UK, even if they're not with a union. Usually they'd get like 2 warnings, then a final warning and then gone.
