Yeah, if we don't elect a True Conservative to the White House then Josef Stalin will rise from the grave and take over the White House.

If Stalin rose from the grave I'd vote for him. Mainly because I don't want to be sent to the zombie gulag

Exactly what the logical conclusion to anarcho-capitalism is, if you think about it ;)

Tea causes autism.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

I mean, I will be honest, even with the Bush years I had a bit of hope from Republicans as a Republican-leaning commentator.

Nowadays, I'd be called a RINO based on my beliefs.

I've had people from the extreme Republican pole calling me a communist.

Kind of ironic considering most of the policies I support fall into what many moderate Republicans pre-TP would have, but would have tried to work with Democrats to refine them.

Since when do the extreme republicans support small government and individual freedom? I know more moderate ones do, and I'm sure most do, but the ones democrats and independents usually complain about tend to be pro-big government.

Europe is far to the left by out standards. Well, most of it. Because of this, they view even our left wing voters and right wing, just more moderate. Of course, on a global scale, the USA is left wing to centrist, And Europe is extreme left wing.

Well, the thing is that European politics haven't dismissed socialism as harshly as the U.S. has.

They accept, are aware of, and agree with many socialist policies even if they disagree with others. They let communist have their own party, but they hardly have any voice, or many of them join the socialist party in their country.

The United States is so averse to communism and socialism as a post-Cold War state that most Americans find communism and socialism indistinguishable from each other and everything that furthers the capacities of government to help people and increase the welfare state is dismissed as communism.

Me too, the religious right has no place in true conservatism. Goldwater was for gay rights, just saying.

It was also force the democrats to go true progressive, and then a more realistic party structure on both sides would emerge.

Well, the lack of universal health care in favor of some weird subsidy system is a good start.

We can also go with the democrats lackluster support of unions.

I can keep going if you want.

They're not (generally) significantly in favor of paid family leave, although Sanders and Hillary both are (which they should be). This is actually a fairly new development and I hope it sticks.

They're not in favor of the workers seizing the means of production from the capital investors.

They're not in favor of nationalizing the banks or factories.

Lots of things.
