When I'm in a wheelchair due to the injuries I have sustained in my lifetime, I want to make sure I have as many interesting stories to tell my grandkids as possible.

And, tragically, they'll assume it's all made up.

And a good number of these people died from injuries and damage caused in American football, why arnt we banning it as well?

All of those people who died in Boxing consented to taking part in the sport, they knew the risks as did all of these other people who died in the sports above. They were not forced to do it.

Ice Hockey, Martial Arts, Rugby, Wrestling (and i mean actual wrestling), Hurling, American Football.

People have suffered massive and longlasting injuries or died in all of those sports, many of them on the same level as Boxing. Basic research would show this.

So why dont you ban them?

How is boxing "state-sanctioned"? Besides, boxing will still exist irrespective of whether it is legal or illegal; the only difference is that boxing will become more illicit, and, consequently, more dangerous.

You can get hurt in any sports. Almost every sport has violence in it. If you think it's tasteless. Then that's your opinion. Don't force people to bow to your opinions. Lots of people think it help concentration and relieve stress and gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment. WWW and Luche Libre doesn't tell the whole story.

I don't think boxing should be banned, I think it should be enforced to adopt a non-contact version, that wouldn't be violent.
In an truly equal society similar violent sports shouldn't exists, because such things encourage violence and toxic masculinity.
