I'm questioning if mine can get there. It's not getting much better.

Cat ears are adorable.
I was trying to make myself a pair, but they were too big and I didn't have the right glue and they just generally didn't work out. They were more red panda ears, though. And I didn't want to make a multicolored tail to go with them so I gave up.

For some reason, I'm picturing you as Schrodinger from Hellsing.

Red pandas are more like cats. The name translated from Chinese means fire cat.
Panda is 熊猫 (bear cat)
Red panda is 火猫 (Fire cat)
But it got translated differently. And that's why the red panda/ferret hybrid in Legend of Korra is called a fire ferret.
Also while I have my Chinese keyboard out, I'll do the pronoun thing I've been meaning to do. There's not really a gender neutral pronoun in Chinese. They(他们
can't be used singularly. 们 makes it plural. 他 on its own means he (pronounced ta) and 她 (also pronounced ta) means she. So when you're talking, they sound the same and you use context to figure out which one, but in writing it's more difficult. If you try to leave off the radical in front, it means also. They do have 它 (pronounced the same as the other two)but it's closer to it and not really grammatically correct to use for a person. 他 is usually used if you don't know someone's gender, but that's probably a thug of cultural male dominance rather than gender neutrality.
And if I'm wrong about any of this, feel free to correct me.
