Hey, whatever you want. It's your name, and if you're fine with the double s, that's cool. :)

That reminds me: When my grandmother was visiting this past week, she was telling me about some old jewellery of hers and who she was thinking would inherit it. I actually tend to get a bit sad when this topic comes up, and this time was no exception. Because I'm AMAB, I always get overlooked when the women of the family are passing on their jewellery to the younger generations. I imagine that my mother has corrected this in her will, since she's mentioned that she updated it sometime in the past year. (Previously, her jewellery was set to go to my female cousins, with the possibility of a small amount going to any daughters-in-law or granddaughters she might have in the future.)

Anyway. My grandmother was talking about a locket from when she was young engraved with her initial (which is an M), and how she gave it to my cousin (whose name also begins with an M) because they're the only one of her grandchildren with an M initial. It made me even more dysphoric than these conversations usually do, considering that my chosen name has an M initial. Oh, well. I guess it's not that important.

The other thing is many metals can only be resized so far when it comes to rings.

Going to see a priest in 2 days. Here's hoping that having a priest behind me will temper the reaction of my parents to the fact that I've been transitioning. They're a Jesuit priest, so they tend to be pretty progressive and cool, so I'm hoping that telling them about what's been going on can help my parents to see that my transitioning isn't a bad thing, or something they should try to stop...

Really kind of terrifying though. :(

Eh, I kind of doubt it. Jesuits are still Roman Catholics, so they would still consider transitioning to be sinful.

However, he might be sympathetic, because abandoning one's child is also sinful.

Yeah, and fundamentalist ones at that. Pretty sure that without a priest backing me up they won't even consider a qualified health professionals opinion.

I'm actually kind of hopeful. As crazy as this may sound, the Jesuits are not only really well-educated, but also extremely progressive, and believe that one has to care for the entire person, so if they believe that I am transitioning for taking better care of myself then they probably will be on my side, at least with the ones I know. Plus the school in general, which is run by them, is really progressive on LGBT+ stuff. :)

I am, but I'm going to a Catholic priest because I go to a university that is run by the Catholic Church, or which the priests are confidential sources. Plus my parents are still VERY Catholic, so having a priest on my side supporting my transition would really be good.

In other news, OMGWTFBBQ I have an endocrinology appointment! Next freakin' Monday! Just got a phone call from the lady there saying they'd been going to book me an appointment for November, but there'd been a cancellation so they could slot me in earlier. Considering I'd been told that the waiting list was three months long, I wasn't expecting to be seen until next year! This is great. :D

Depends on where the Jesuits are from. I can tell you though that my school is pretty darn progressive. They have no problems with people being openly Transgender or LGB+, and accomadate and have resources for them, and clubs related to it have events and a good precence on campus. The Minister-President has also gotten into trouble with the Archdiosces for being "too liberal and unorthodox", especially on issues regarding LGBT+ students, but he's pretty well-known to be very pro-LGBT+ rights and equality.

So yeah, for my school, the Jesuits are REALLY progressive. So much so that some of the more conservative students left the school because it wasn't conservative enough for them.

Well, it is really easy to spend that much on that kind of stuff. A couple weeks ago I bought a tinted moisturiser (kind of like foundation) for almost $60 Canadian. That said, it'll probably last me about a year (maybe a bit more), and the thing that drove me to go buy it was that there was a really good gift-with-purchase deal on, so I got another ~$80 worth of cosmetics for free alongside that. (Keep in mind that $80 worth of cosmetics is like 5 things.)

So another thing about the Jesuit university I go to, when I told them I was curious about rules using the restroom they said "use them as you present, if you're presenting female use the female facilities, and if your presenting male use the male facilities." Then they continued, "in the University's eyes your a female student now, so of course we will also expect you to act accordingly of female-specific regulations will apply to you." (explained as stuff like decency rules - so no topless-ness, for example - no boys permitted in my dorm, use of male facilities forbidden, et cetera).

It was really nice, and this was done with the complete approval of the Minister-President too! :)
