You can also probably find lots of pictures of law-abiding upstanding muslims in the UK as well. Furthermore, many of these boats are filled with refugees... which according to several international protocols the UK has signed onto they are obligated to take in if their application screens through and meets all the qualifications.

Granted, quite a few are rather economic migrants whom the UK has no obligation to accept unless they go through the usual immigration process: that is a matter of sovereignty. But the fact the are muslim doesn't make them any worse then, so, potentially seedy economic migrants from Ukraine and the Baltic States, or the various Hispanics that the US deals with.

So, in the UK, since 2014, (so this is old news, but I found this out recently), Muhammad is the most popular name. This is because the amount of Muslims in the UK has increased greatly in recent times. This also shows the traditionally Christian culture of the UK being put on the spot, being challenged by Islamic culture. In the world, Islam is also on the rise on a bigger scale.

So NSG, is it a good, bad or weird thing that Mohammad is now the most popular name in the UK? Is it a sign of Christian culture's demise in the UK?

My opinion:
In my mind, being a citizen of the UK, but not living there (so it has no bearing on me), this is odd. The UK has been one of the greatest Christian nations to have ever existed in terms of power and influence, and it has historically had a national church. While losing their colonial interests around the world, large amounts of immigration from Islamic countries mainly have been going into the UK, changing the demographics greatly. This is something that is in my mind not a good thing. A nation has the right to take in immigrants, and should generally do so, however, a nation is also something that should preserve its culture, and it would seem that having such a drastic demographic change is not a good thing, it will not bring stability, and it will not bring peace.

Apart from everything else that's factually wrong about this, do you think it's a bit off that you're complaining about immigrants whilst pointing out that you are one?
And what does a name have to do with whether or not a country is losing its culture? Someone named Muhammed can't like fish and chips or colonising half the planet too?
