I don't want to be repeating Italian stereotypes or anything, but the mafia have quite clearly kidnapped this ref's family. Could the police maybe sort this out in time for Ireland to get a penalty next time one of our players is fouled in the box?

Sure they can. It’ll only be in time for Italy to face Northern Ireland in the semis, though.

On another note, I’m actually kind of hoping that Iceland beat England...

Nah, nowadays we prefer just to buy them.

Really, embarassing match for Italy, lots of stupid, nasty fouls, disgusting reffing (not only Ireland is missing a penalty, the ref also failed to give Ogbonna a double yellow). If Italy plays like this against Spain it's going to be a massacre.
My fiancee, her sister and I were cheering Ireland in the second half. Ok, my sis-in-law doesn't count because she's ginger with green eyes and lots of freckles.

I see the possibilities of dark horse/underdog teams to win Euro 2016, which is not something unrealistic considering Denmark's 1992 and Greece's 2004, though Denmark is slightly better in abilities than Greece at that time and considered to be a mid-tier team in Europe.

And in the meantime, Spain faced hard challenges.
