Not all of the Patriot Act, but still. Yeee

Even better idea would be to make a constitutional amendment prohibiting the establishment of another Patriot Act like bill.

The most disturbing part in this case is that both parties are trying to get the act back up. This is one of the few points (perhaps the only point) where I am in agreement with Rand Paul and support his actions.
Now the moderation team really IS Godmoding.
Step 1: One-Stop Rules Shop. Step 2: ctrl+f. Step 3: Type in what you saw in modbox. Step 4: Don't do it again.

It could be argued that the PATRIOT act is already unconstitutional. Federal court rulings have made such declarations in the past.

Since when did the NSA ever listen to the courts? If they did, the Patriot Act would have been struck down years ago, and the NSA would be bitching about how people have privacy, like the terrorists the people are.
Humans are monsters, we will never change, we will always want to claw out the throats of those with a difference in opinion, we will never be in an age of peace because of our lust for war, poverty will continue to exist as long as monetary needs exist. We rape, enslave, and conquer with no regards to others. We live by the sword, and we will, justifiably, die by the sword.

Hope is for unrealistic idealists. Pessimism is your friend.

I'm fairly sure NSA doesn't even give a shit what most people do on the internet. If you're chatting about blowing up the white house, it should be a questionable act.

Patriot Act

Postby Kosovo12345 » Mon Jun 01, 2015 2:57 pm

The Patriot Act was finally ended on Sunday night after a special and rare Sunday Congress vote. I support the ending of this Act but some of my friends including my best friend say that the government just lost an effective tool for spying on enemies of the state. Others say this is just for show and the NSA will continue spying. What do you think??

Yeah, plus it doesn't really do much to increase safety. Heck neither does TSA for that matter. I saw a report saying they failed 95% of the time to detect undercover agents secretly smuggling contraband material through security. I mean, wtf.

don't worry, Big Brother will find another way!
All around disagreeable person.

"Personal freedom is a double edged sword though. On the one end, it grants more power to the individual. However, the vast majority of individuals are fuckin idiots, and if certain restraints are not metered down by more responsible members of society, the society quickly degrades into a hedonistic and psychotic cluster fuck."

They always find a way...

One can only hope that the NSA quits its bullshit antics soon, it's getting annoying at this point.
