Yeah this wouldn't be enough. More than the others listed for my amount of experience (scant) and lack of (but good progress towards) an associate's degree. Though the lady I talked with said if I perform well at the evaluation she sent me (for word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook) and due to my language skills, should make up for the lack of both. Hey, the job description didn't mention either education or experience requirements, so I went and applied.

So goes the stereotype narrative. I've seen basically none of that (well, nothing much more than the ambient level of sexism you see everywhere), and indeed a lot of places, ESPECIALLY government contracting, fall over themselves to hire women whenever they can because they're rare.

Also, as per my post on the previous page, free ice cream, but that's just here, and we're not hiring.

Eh, I've heard quite some women on conferences railing about it. Granted, they're American, not so much over here (the rampant sexism). Female developers are still scarce though regardless.
