Right, but I have reason to suspect that most LibDem voters in 2010 voted for the party because of the short lived Cleggmania.

Well I guess you just have to put up with stupid policies. Most parties have something wrong with them.

They won't even start coming in until about 11.30, and that's the very first outliers like Sunderland South. Most come through after 3.

Cleggmania still took place. For about a week, the man led opinion polls, hovering near 30%.

Who knows? Opinion polls show the Tories and Labour neck and neck.

I suspect that the Tories will receive somewhere near 34% of the vote, with Labour near 33%.

tories, maybe? it doesn't really matter because votes do not necessarily translate into seats, it's where the votes are concentrated. this is why in 2010 the lib dems 23% got them 57 seats and labour's 29% got them 258. look forward to UKIP getting millions of votes and little if any seats and the SNP getting 50 seats for half that.

obviously the party with the most votes generally gets the most seats, but it's definitely possible to get 60% of the vote and end up with 40% of the seats (i.e. lose)

e: which is why vote projetions instead of seat projections annoy me a bit. they don't tell me anything concrete.

I agree with those percentages. But I think it might just give Labour slightly more seats.

Tories won in 1951 on half a million less votes than Labour

Why are you looking forward to that? It's hypocritical to say "FPTP is bad for smaller parties" while simultaneously saying "thank god UKIP won't be winning anything." Not trying to be rude, but that' s how it sounds.

Anyways, yes, vote projections may reflect the national attitude, but seats really matter.

Alaykia, I'm a very sarcastic person, but I cannot detect sarcasm well on the internet. Why? Because, this is the one forum I've visited that isn't full of trolls, idiots, and people suffering either from insanity, extremism, or insane cognitive dissonance.

3:30 is when results will come in fast but it could be anywhere between 7-10 before they all come in. (each seat declares one by one in case it's not clear by this point) which sucks because are in a situation where every seat could matter, and we have no idea what will happen after we get the result anyway so fuck
