Forced to choose between the Democrats and Republicans, I go with Democrats. They don't condemn me and don't act insane (with the exception of the progressive caucus.)

The Republicans are center-right. The Democrats are center-left.

The Republicans are Right Wing, and sprinting as far Right-ward as they can go.

Maybe Kirsten Gillibrand, seems decent at first glance.

Yes, but that doesn't negate my sentence.

I said "sprinting as far Right-ward as they can go." That doesn't mean that there aren't people who are further Right than they are.

Hilary will win the primary, period. I want Elizabeth Warren to run though simply because she will force Hilary to answer to the progressive base. It's the nature of the primaries, the Democratic one is a race to the center, the Republican one is a race off the right edge of the cliff.

We truly need to get past this problem where Republicans proudly state they're conservative but Democrats don't seem to want to identify as liberal or progressive. I'm sick of living in a two party country which consists of the center-right and the far-right.

Oh, and if Hilary ends up saying anything about wanting the government to crack down on e-cigs, I'm going to vote third party because I'm sick of this shit.

Touche, I concede.

The Republicans have shifted to the 'right', but they are only extremely 'right wing' in the context of a liberal democracy.

Fair enough, but this is a liberal democracy, so they are indeed extreme.

You're making it one dimensional. The Democrats are a big tent centre party, the Republicans are right wing.

Hardly, both the Repubs and Dems are slaves to their fanatic bases, praising conservative and liberal policies respectively, and then argue over who's more center.

So do you get the PBR and "ironic" fedora with that opinion or are there some forms you have to sign afterwards?

I am getting appeals for money for party candidates, in the name of Elizabeth Warren.

I will never contribute to anything which uses the imprimatur of that fraud.

I'm pretty sure that she isn't going to run, since she said three times that she has no interest and "will not run."

And everyone knows that "will not run" is like "Betelgeuse". If you say it three times, Michael Keaton appears.

The idea that Elizabeth Warren is the only Democrat who could run and challenge Hillary Clinton from the left is truly bizarre and smacks of either lazy thinking, low-information, or disingenuity. All of the Democrats currently making noises about running have positioned themselves to do precisely that, O'Malley aggressively so, Webb on selected economic and social positions, and Sanders from world political perspective. Even Chaffee, who has no credibility on such matters, is posturing to run to her left on foreign policy. The insistence that only Warren can challenge Clinton seems little more than myopic.

Of the all-but-declared field my favorite at the moment is O'Malley. It's a pity he won't get the nomination, he's the best available substitute for the position of president currently running.

On foreign policy, most Democrats are to the left of Clinton.
