My kids are very much into the playoffs this year, and they all filled out brackets.

‣ Caroline (age 9) has the Canadians over the Blues

‣ Jack (age 7) has the Wild over the Capitols

‣ Elizabeth (age 5) has the Canadians over the Ducks

and

‣ Abigail (age 3) has the Rangers over the Blues

I may have helped Abigail fill hers out.

For the record, we are Bruins fans up here.

We all cheered when the Flames won.
Them out of Flames love, and me out of Ducks hate.

Considering my teams are all golfing, I'd root for Calgary because of the amount of Flames friends I have, except that I'm afraid if I did, they'd be the next team out.

Round 3: Tampa over NYR, Hawks over Ducks
Cup Final: Tampa over Hawks

I'm sure the refs agree with you, considering that bullshit no-goal call. Shades of '04 right there.

The funny thing is that fans of both sides were arguing the refs were in favor of the other side's team.

There was a lot of vitriol on social media after the game. Flames fans sticking it to the haughty Ducks fans, who would say the Flames fans are acting cocky and that their team got lucky. Then it got more heated when fans of other teams got involved, especially with Oilers fans taking pot shots at the Flames fans while Jets and Kings fans went at the Ducks fans. Some Ducks fans pretty much said the Flames aren't the concern, but rather Chicago.

All in all, pretty interesting stuff. Most everyone figured the Ducks had it in the bag, despite it all. Even Calgary fans thought their team wasn't doing so well at first. It was almost a double Orange Crush that night to them.

But the Flames won. Question is, can the Flames keep it up?

I'd guess Caps fans, actually. Some of us have been trolling Wikipedia pretty hard this year. After the Caps totally shut out the Bruins during the regular season, someone kept changing the Bruins page to say that Braden Holtby was the owner of the team. And after the Capitals eliminated the Islanders from the playoffs, someone changed the page of the Nassau Coliseum to read that it was closed by the Washington Capitals

The Caps are really grinding the gears of Rangers fans right now to the point some are even going as far to say FTS and think the NHL itself is one big joke.

Officiating, they say, is pro-Washington and that, "because it's the playoffs," tons of incidents are being unnoticed.

I'm not saying HFBoards posters comprise the entirety of their fanbases, but the sections for Montreal, Minnesota and New York are really bleak right now. A lot of people calling for boycotts, FMLs, etc.

Reminded me of Arizona fans on theirs after the Draft Lottery (a contrast to the CalgaryPuck posts about it, which ran the gamut from "Oilers will Oiler it up (and even with Chia too!)" to "I think we ought to be worried now/at least we'll have a Battle of Alberta again".

yes because Stanford (who couldn't buy a goal if he gave the other team the remainder of his contract) and a defenseman who can't flipping play defense were totally worth keeping around. plus I'd take the other goalie over the both of them.
