Isolate them in Kansas and they'll still win Kansas. Isolate them in Florida in exchange for moderates and they have a chance, as opposed to taking the hard line which will lose them this state for a third Presidential election a row.

Mitt Romney lost because he did the same thing as Jeb is doing now, fleeing to the mushy middle.

Um...no. Romney fled from the mushy middle to the hard right during the presidential race. And look where that got him.

There were far more progressives disillusioned with Obama than conservatives who didn't bother turning out for Romney.

Mitt Romney had a few controversies and scandals that din't hel his reputation with the undecided people.

No the thing needed to win is the bulk of the voting population, i.e the middle, which you will not earn by sticking to a far wing minority. This is politics 101.

Well then get ready for irrelevance, because more of those are dying off every year.

Most people born after Brown vs Board of Education don't vote Republican.

If you want a Tea Party Republican candidate I'd doubt they'd ever win, the majority of America and the states would not support their hard lined policies. Losing them both the popular vote and the electoral college.

Winning a few undecided/independent voters dont make up for losing the foundation of the republican party.

The foundation of the Republican Party is quickly dying out, it needs to reshape itself and focus on a newer different group of generations in order to gain support or it will be doomed to die on the fringe of the political spectrum.

But obviously the position and side that has the views that for a large majority oppress a certain group because "X" reason here Is the only right thing to do! /s

Or something along those lines.

I just want the socialist party to start up in a national view.

Things must change for this government, look at it. It isn’t too big to fail, it’s too big to succeed. It’s too big to succeed, so we can afford no retreads. Or nothing will change, with the same people and the same policies that got us into this status quo. Another Latin word, status quo. And it stands for, man, the middle class, every day Americans are really gettin’ taken for a ride.
