What do you think of PETA?

I love them! They help fight against people eating meat! Which I don't like.

I would also call them hypocrites, I read that they kill more animals in their shelters then actual shelters.

I dislike their tactics, I think a vast majority does as well, so I can only cringe when something out of them comes out.

No doubt they have done good work. People care about animals and I think that they would support PETA more but only if they lose the extremist shit.

That's because their for pro-kill shelters.

If you live in the US (and probably a long list of other countries), you already live in a country that heavily subsidizes the livestock industry.

I'm saying we need a organization that unites vegetarians and us meat eaters.

Why? Are you going to reduce your meat consumption therefore reducing your contribution to the environmental destruction brought on by the meat industry? 'Cause there's already Meatless Mondays for that. Are you going to propose to end government subsidies to the livestock industry so my tax money isn't going toward something that I largely disagree with? Are you going to raise awareness among restaurants about the benefits of offering vegetarian meals on all menus? Are you going to start campaigning for airlines to stop fucking up special meals on international flights? Are you going to propose that people stop acting like "for every animal you don't eat, I'll eat five" is witty and insightful?

What exactly are vegetarians supposed to gain out of an organization that unites us with meat eaters?

Veganism as a middle class cause deserves to be silenced as morally incompetent bullshit.

Despite the subsidies to the meat industry, it's still much cheaper to go without eating meat in most of the world.

You're acting just as bad as those PETA members who use offensive content to attack the other side. You have lowered yourself to their level by simply spamming links of animals being cooked with the intention of psychologically slapping PETA supporters across the face.
I may start using this as my main account, I dunno.

Please don't quote links with grotesque content, or at least spoiler it so people who what's coming.

Local farm to fork could be that group.

I'm not. EDIT: But, yeah, good steak can get expensive; it's a once every two month thing.

It's food being cooked. I don't see what's grotesque about it.
