I've known lots of people who have referred junior school games for various sports - some sports, like field hockey, are virtually civilized. Soccer, on the other hand, is apparently just a mess to referee for younger kids.

Shellac is a resin secreted by the female lac bug, on trees in the forests of India and Thailand. It is processed and sold as dry flakes (pictured at right) and dissolved in ethanol to make liquid shellac, which is used as a brush-on colorant, food glaze and wood finish. Shellac functions as a tough natural primer, sanding sealant, tannin-blocker, odour-blocker, stain, and high-gloss varnish. Shellac was once used in electrical applications as it possesses good insulation qualities and it seals out moisture. Phonograph (gramophone) records were also made of it during the 78-rpm recording era which ended in the west during the 1950s.

At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

Now, I'm sure plenty of you know it, but for any of you non-yanks it's basically the biggest American-football game of the year and is used as an excuse to party. I'm not looking forward to it.
