No political compass test is "real". They are all heavily biased. Politicalcompass.org is the best, hands down, but even it has some pretty misleading questions.

It said I was a solid liberal.

That test is crap, there were barely any questions about social issues. I'm a social conservative about most issues, but the test did not allow me to express that and just assumed I was completely liberal.
