I've been to Missouri. I really liked it. I loved the towns of Joplin and Springfield. And St. Louis was pretty slick, too. The Midwest is just great.


Well, word is that rioting is going to break out in Oakland, but in California, this sort of thing happens all of the time, especially in Oakland.

St. Louis County is actually fantastic. Even Ferguson in particular is really not known as a bad place.

I've just a slight question to all the posters: who here exactly is better informed than the jurors who decided ignoramus on this case?

Shouldn't we defer to those better informed when it comes to criticism?

So this whole raid about, well not really about anymore, the Ferguson case upsets me. I mean Really this riot is based off an excuse, people are looking for a reason to riot, or they just found one. I just told my best friend that I want to go down there and fix it. He said I would probably be killed, I said fine, I mean if the death of a teenager is what it takes to start a raid, then maybe that's what it takes to finish one as well. I mean what is happening right now to these cops isn't okay. Buildings shouldn't be burnt to a crisp. I know, an 18 year old died. Its a terrible situation but hurting people and destroying towns is only hurting each other. I just... want it to stop.

White on white violence is also at an all time high, but I don't see the need to classify it by race. Why not just you know....crime.

I wouldn't live there, because the schools are shit and the county is slow to respond during winter storms. But it's not a horrible place to live, it's just a black suburb. Nothing particularly special, until recently.

The police created this problem, every step of the way they have upped the ante of violence. They rent this riot to happen. They want the cover so nobody challenges them. They want the opportunity to kill with impunity. They do this every chance they get. Had they not been excessively violent leading up to this, had they not tried to excuse the murder, had they not lied and obstructed and failed to do their jobs, this would not have happened. They deserve every bad thing coming to them.If they don't like it they should quit being the hired muscle for our racist capitalist power structure.

What about the jurors who decided to acquit OJ? What about the jurors who have put innocents behind bars. This wouldn't be the first time police have withheld evidence in order to get a conviction.
