Atrocities committed by Islamic extremists did not suddenly stop after 9/11, so quoting that event as if it was the last time something happened is not a good way to make a point. As for your question, part of the problem is that most of the world's media focuses on the Islamic extremists of the world, not the Christian extremists or Jewish extremists (before anyone uses that as way to skewer me, there are Jewish extremists, there are extremists of every kind).

The world media largely focuses on Islamic extremists because they are the most violent, influential, and outspoken of any extremist ideology, and perpetrate the vast majority of terror attacks worldwide. To compare the extent of Islamic extremism to Christian or Jewish extremism is laughable and disingenuous.

Maybe because people have hated our deen for 1400 years. In the time of Muhammad (pbuh), him and his followers were beaten, tortured, and spit on in the streets. One woman had a spear driven through her genitals because she wanted to become Muslim. Generally, people separate the extremists from the normal people just trying to have normal lives. In any case, no-one but the most fanatical anti-Muslim will 'hate' Muslims; people just tend to be cautious and sceptical of them as their religion is foreign and therefore bizarre. In essence, it is normal for people to initially be scared/sceptical/wary of foreign cultural elements which contradict their own.

TBH I've studied the Qur'an it does say in chapter 72 to " Lie to the infidels and cut their heads off and kill them" and btw guys those infidels are anyone who doesn't believe in Allah. Muslims aren't Peaceful. Especially after 9/11 Hamas Muslims started throwing the American Flag on the floor and Chanted Death to America. No wonder why Americans don't like them.
