it doesn't even matter if he tried to get the gun. I don't believe it either but even if true the cops don't get to gun down a suspect who WAS TRYING to get the gun but is now running away.

Since 1963 it has been illegal to pay a woman less than her male counterpart. Women do EARN less on average because they choose to work less hours or have lower paying jobs. If a man is making more than you despite doing the same work I suggest you contact a lawyer.

What are your thoughts on the Ferguson civil unrest?
I say American cops need be mandated to use non lethal weapons against unarmed civilians.
They can use deadly force only if someone's life is in immediate danger. They can be tried for murder otherwise.

If any violence or looting happens because of the trial decision, it will only justify brutal force being used by the police. The protests must be non-violent and set an example. They can't be burn and loot protests. The non-black populace near Ferguson are ready to take deadly force into their own hands to defend their property. It will be a full scale racial war. How sad and ignorant.

If it were up to me, I would arrest anyone who is remotely related to the Ferguson civil unrest.

They are a threat to business and the social order.

Sometimes people break the law, sometimes people need to be shot (the Ferguson incident was unfortunate, but it happened). The police don't like to do it, but sometimes they need to shoot people. It's just a fact of life.

Starting riots is not an acceptable social response.

That's what many women do if and when they find out...that does not mean there is no pay gap. Also, I believe that was an apples to apples comparison being done, that is women and men in the same field doing the same job.

It goes on to say that career choices make an impact on that raw number so often quoted - 78% or so. That is true. Some of that ~22% is from career choice. However, here's some actual evidence for a wage gap.

I think a practical way to resolve these issues is to intentionally have Black cops patrol Black neighborhoods, Asian police officers for Asian neighborhoods etc. No racial group likes the perception that another is out to get them. The more segregated the races are, the better off the communities will be.
