Just think about that statement for a moment....

I think about what I post before I post it. Did you have anything to actually contribute?

So you don't actually practice what you preach. I'm sorry to see that you didn't think through what you were going to post or actually have anything to contribute.

You have a defence that doesn't breach your own line that "The UK is a nation of laws, and there is no good reason to have any preventing people from exercising their right to choose their own private transactions"?

And a business is quite within their rights to decide the customer is being an arsehole and refuse to provide them with a product or service. No need for the state to step in and tell them when they can and can't do that.

You're still not thinking through your post before posting it. You got caught making up a line of bull. I'm still waiting for you to actually contribute anything.

Although, that you think supporting the rights of others needs a defense doesn't leave me very hopeful

Rochdale is becoming something of a political "problem area".
What is being asked for here is just racism. Especially since, IIRC, many of the individuals involved in grooming were "local men", not immigrants.

If people implicated in the grooming worked for Cab 2000, don't show you're racist by asking for "white local drivers", boycott the fucking cab firm like a normal person. If they didn't, then this is painting literally all non-whites with the brush of racists.
Isn't Rochdale the place that swung wildly UKIP at this year's local and EU election because of Labour disaffection?

Rochdale and Oldham have been going back and forth since the riots in 2001. The whole area is a bit of a mess. It was a bit of a BNP stronghold for a while. I actually saw Nick Griffin speak in a Roachdale working mens club in 2002ish.

In which case, can you please clarify your position. Do you support the right of a person to make a request of a company, and the right of that company to grant or refuse said request? Or do you wish to impose limits on either the requests people can make or the requests companies can grant or refuse?

I merely learned from your amazing debating technique, Great Master. "Sure there is" - what a brilliant comment, an inspirational little stroke of genius from one of the finest minds in the land. I don't know how you did it. Pure debating magic.

What are you referring to here Iffy?
I was under the impression that service could be withheld as and when for no given reason.

Or is there a context from some posts previous that I haven't seen?

I think there's something relevant here, that it's pretty basic:

Even if you have a business, that still doesn't give you a right to ignore the law and be an asshole.

No, the law requires cab drivers to not be arseholes about taking customers.

Oh, sure, you cannot take services for a reasonable thing, but the right to take customers or not is not unlimited.
