All that I can say is that I am thankful I wasn't downtown today. I live in the Ottawa area and work as an intern in an MP's office and spend a lot of my time in the downtown core, so this hits quite close to home for me.

I know. The point I was making is that witness accounts during these sorts of traumatic events are extremely unreliable anyway. The vultures in this thread getting frothed up about the attack being committed by immigrant Muslims should take note of that before leaping to their favourite conclusion.

It hits close to home for some here, even if they don't live there. Like me, they may have immediate family there.

Sun Aut Ex thought so too during the Oslo attacks, and repeatedly and vocally argued that point in the thread associated. Why don't you look up what happened in that particular thread?

Witness description of the shooter. As the others mentioned this could be wrong.

An attack on Monday that killed one soldier and injured another. And this attack as well specifically targeting soldiers as demanded by IS.

Intelligence on ISIS sympathizers planning attacks on Canada just last week.

I would not put it past him, He's already tried it by capitalizing on the cyber-bully influenced suicide of Rehtaeh Parsons by trying to force though legislation that would grant wide-reaching powers for police forces, and CSIS to put pressure on ISPs to provide information without a warrant and make other privacy intrusions.

Don't count on any of this happening. While he has a majority in the House, we're nearing election time and to overtly use the death of a solider for political means may even be too odious for Harper to try.

He was not short, or dark skinned or was wearing a head scarf. Get your facts straight.

He was caucasian, long and dark hair and was wearing dark clothes.

EDIT: FOR THE LAST TIME VAMTRL. JEEZ.

EDIT2: Vamtrl, I know you really want to blame ISIS (I do too), but you need facts to prove it, not just some concocted descriptions and thoughts from your imagination. CSIS and the RCMP have not said whether if the guy they killed on Monday was part of ISIS or not. They did say that he was thinking about going to fight, but they were unsure.

I wouldn't give it much credence, since that particular description came straight out of his rectal cavity.

witnesses say a lot of shit. you will soon learn that what witnesses say during chaotic events may not always line up with reality.
