It's really funny, when people discover I am white but Latino and not the lily white American they think.

The only reason people can tell I'm not a white American is because of my accent.

I was raised speaking a bastardized mix of English and Cherokee in an area with a lot of Spanish speakers. People always do a double take when I speak to them for the first time because I look like a reddish white guy but sound like I come from mars.

Although, if it's any consolation, even the guy who was Trayvon's murderer was considered white. That dude is more tanned than I am.
