After a while, my mental timer "goes off," and I have to go in and recharge. I have a good amount of friends, but only see them about once or twice a week. So, I'm kind of both, but I would most likely lean towards introvert if I had to.

Really? I can't say I've experienced that.
Well it's according to the MBTI.
If you compare the percentage of all Ixxx personalities vs Exxx, they are significantly greater in number.
Of course, MBTI is much more complicated than that, and just because you have an Exxx personality, it does not mean you are always using extrovert characteristics.

If anything I get more sad and anxious when I'm not around people doing things. I spent a good portion of my life being introverted, either purposely or not, and I can say now that I hate it and never want to be like that again. Going out, exploring, talking to people, doing new things, etc. is what it's all about.

Find a MBTI test.
I'm an ENFP.
It sounds like you are, but I'm curious to see.
I remember when I took a test, I was scared by how well I was described. And then the test said I was probably being freaked out by how well I am being described...

Same here.. described me pretty well. I am an ENFP too and 89% extrovert, according to the test.

There is a whole world out there, don't miss it.
