If anything, it's the other way around.

Extroverts are often called "attention whores", or are told to "stfu, gtfo".

Sure ,because a lot of them are.

We are always classified as creeps, freaks, wierdos, serial killers, etc. We generally aren't appreciated at all.

Ahahaha.

Bullshit.

Nothing wrong with either.

But I've never seen, online or in person somebody being punished for introversion except when they are not contributing to a discussion in which they are required to participate (at school). Which is bullshit too, but another topic.

I like to think of myself as an ambivert, or sort of in-between. Like, I don't mind being in crowds, for a short time. After a while, my mental timer "goes off," and I have to go in and recharge. I have a good amount of friends, but only see them about once or twice a week. So, I'm kind of both, but I would most likely lean towards introvert if I had to.

Take a MBTI test.

I'm fairly certain your dominant function will be introversion as opposed to extroversion, as you expend energy opposed to gaining it when socializing.

In general introverts are praised on the internet, because according to the internet they are the "intelligent, clever people". And according to internet extroverts are "annoying bullies and loud Geordie Shore people who don't understand introverts."

Well it's according to the MBTI.

If you compare the percentage of all Ixxx personalities vs Exxx, they are significantly greater in number.

Of course, MBTI is much more complicated than that, and just because you have an Exxx personality, it does not mean you are always using extrovert characteristics.

If anything I get more sad and anxious when I'm not around people doing things. I spent a good portion of my life being introverted, either purposely or not, and I can say now that I hate it and never want to be like that again. Going out, exploring, talking to people, doing new things, etc. is what it's all about.

Find a MBTI test.
I'm an ENFP.

It sounds like you are, but I'm curious to see.

I remember when I took a test, I was scared by how well I was described. And then the test said I was probably being freaked out by how well I am being described...

Same here.. described me pretty well. I am an ENFP too and 89% extrovert, according to the test.

I was only 61% extrovert.

My turbulunce was by far the highest of all the characteristics.

Fucking 93% turbulence. Perception was also quite strong. I have one fucking crazy moral compass.

For those who don't know, turbulunce vs stability is how your teritiary function is determined.

I would say I am more introverted. I become extremely uncomfortable with crowds and new people. When I am in those situations, I do fine (in fact, people always say I must really be a people person. I know how to hold a conversation, and can easily keep people entertained.) But the truth is, I prefer to be with either a small group (no more than 4) of close friends whom I trust, or by myself entirely. I spend a lot of time with my nose in a book.

There is a whole world out there, don't miss it.

Seriously? It's not like us introverts choose to be like this. It's just how we are, be it from how we grew up in our life, to life experiences, whatever.

Oh, and for the record, I want to travel the world. So there's not much "Missing the world" there. I've started to revolve my life with ways to be able to travel.

And I think 25% of the US population at least is introverted, and 75% extroverted, but I'm not 100% certain on that statistic.
