Max Barry - book signings? O.o

This is going to be one of the...creepiest things I post....

Being the Australian that I am - I think it's great that the creator is as well. This also provides something of a possibility. I have both lexicon and Jenifer Government as hard copy...and well...book signings. Does Mr Barry do these ever...?

I did google it...and Facebook...and twitter....just couldn't find it. Just think it would be great to meet the man one day...even if it's for 20 seconds while he scribbles on the cover of one of his books.

Now if this isn't in the right place...tow it elsewhere...if it is I think I deserve a gold star :lol:

Max actually DOES DO book signings.

In fact, I'm told a group of Mods managed to ambush him at one in the US.

Usually he does them when a new book of his is being released and he announces it on his blog.

Most authors will autograph a book if you ship it to them with a check that covers return postage. Though you generally do this through the publisher, as most authors are concerned about stalkers. Apparently Max was stalked by someone here, that was almost made a Mod.

So definitely expect to be routed through Max's Publisher.

Alternatively, wait for his next book to come out and hope his publisher sends him on a promo tour. (Usually applies mostly to those of us in the US and/or Europe. :P )

And to second what Nerv has already said- [violet] is far, far, far, faaaaaaaaaaaar more terrifying than I could ever HOPE to achieve! :p I can only aspire to one day being that scary!
