I have thought about these issues, extensively. I will stop bashing the government and the police, when they stop bashing innocent people.

Simple fact is that nearly all the school shootings, or most shootings, that the media make a big deal of are in small towns like mine. Crime is everywhere. Poverty doesn't play as much into it.

Why is that? I'm going to speculate the shooters pick schools, because they know there is very little likelihood that anyone there will be armed. More chance of more deaths. And they pick small towns, because the police response is less likely to involve militarized SWAT teams.

Most mass shootings have been in gun free zones.
