I'd peg Obama as the worst president. Call me a partisan hack, but I don't like his friends or his background at all or his emphasis on "social justice" whatever that is. Why aren't his ties to Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright ever taken seriously when these were Marxist anti American radicals? It is clear to me that he wants a more multi-polar world with less US influence over world affairs. Well, he can just go on playing golf and going to fundraisers while the rest of the rest of the world falls into chaos from the power vacuums which are forming, that the US would normally keep filled.

His domestic policy is nice, but his foreign policy is a piece of crap. Not to mention he's basically filled his administration with yes men, and then got rid of everyone who disagreed with him on legitimate issues (McCrystal).

Swashbuckler Cove wrote:Evening, General forum. Evening, day, night, wherever you are

Today I bring you another one of my classic threads, this one is of course entitled "Obbama is the Finest President ever." I am going to present my ideas and then hope for a civilized debate. Let us go, yes?

1. He is a leader. Our President knows how to lead, the reason nothing is getting done is because of the Republicans in Congress. Many point to the 2 years he had with a full Democratic Senate and House(which basically meant he could do anything he wanted). While this is true, we must also remember that it was a fight to get The Affordable Healthcare Act past. Every single Republican said no. Fillabusters were happening. If the Republicans didn't exist, Obama would have a much easier time navigating the nonsense and helping our America.

2. Obama's recent NEW Student loan plans helps students, no matter what Businessinsider or fox news tells you. They're wrong and want to make the President look bad. He had to use an executive order to get it passed because the Republicans want Students to be stuck with loans. The Republicans are all about "work, work work work work work," their children probably have very little free time out of school and work. That's all they're about. "Work hard, do this, do that" well some people have worked hard and need a break. I personally think every single student loan should be paid off by the Government, we'd have much less problems if we did that.

3. The American Jobs act, that would've created thousands of new jobs. But you know? The Republicans stopped it in it's tracks. A Republican could call up Obama tomorrow and have that proposal taken up for a vote and that could get passed(given their cooperation) and everything would be dandy. But noo.

4. Affordable healthcare, he's the reason so many people have affordable, good healthcare now. The Government wants to help with healthcare and his plan does it, it's not socialized medicene, it's humane medicene.

5. The stimulus boosted our economy and brung us out of the recession.

6. Obama is the only one in Washington fighting for African American youths with "My brother's keeper," the Republicans are in their offices touting their outdated sterotypical views on race, women, and gender equality. They're too busy taking money from the koch brothers to do anything.

7. He's bringing our troops home.

9. He got Bin Laden in the first 2 years of his Presidency, Bush couldn't do it in the first 4 years of his term in office.

10. We're stronger around the world because of him.

11. He has handled putin very well.

12. The KKK grew 3,000+ after he was elected in 09, he's obviously doing something right.

There's much more stuff, but these are the core reasons. I don't want to insult or offend anyone, but this is just my opinion. This man ranks up as one of the best Presidents we've ever had, only surpassed by good ol' FDR.

Thoughts, NSG?

Couldn't disagree more. The best US president was probably Ronald Reagan. Obama's immigration policy is out of control, millions of Mexican illegal immigrants are crossing the border and claiming free stuff while US veterans are pushed to the back of the queue. With Obama care, he could at least let people choose between public and private healthcare with a similar system to the one we have here in the UK. He has also made too many budget cuts to the military while giving out billions in foreign aid. He recently traded five Taliban P.O.W.'s for one deserter and the main problem with the US is that it gets involved in wars for corporate interests of Zionist fundamentalists rather than to protect it's people and it also means that the UK get pulled in because of the "special relationship". Putin is a much better leader. He is doing more to stop WW3 than Obama and at least he doesn't spy on other nations and when he invaded Crimea he didn't kill any civilians unlike Obama who has killed loads in the Middle East.

I can understand why Ronald Reagan made the taliban as he needed to get Russia out of Afghanistan but it is foolish of Obama to help terrorists in Syria he should be doing what the Russians are doing and helping the Assad regime as should David Cameron over here.

I don't understand how Obama is our finest president, when he has acquired more debt starting from George Washington to George W. Bush combined. Please enlighten me?

This is not sarcasm. I'm asking a question.
