There are some doctrines (like Arianism) which claim that Christ is not divine, but none of them go so far as to call Christ merely human and nothing else. Even those who deny the divinity of Christ still affirm that He is some sort of higher being (often, they claim He is some kind of angel).

I was thinking more along the lines of Nestorianism or Miaphysitism.

Nestorianism claims that Christ is two people (two "persons") in one body: one human person and one divine person. In this view, Christ is a type of symbiotic being. Perhaps a good modern comparison could be made with some concepts in science fiction where two minds coexist in the same body (like the Tok'ra in Stargate).

Miaphysitism is a strong reaction against Nestorianism and insists that Christ is ONE in every way: not only is He ONE person, but He also has ONE "nature" (which is a combination of the human and divine natures).

Both Nestorianism and Miaphysitism (as well as the orthodox Christian position) agree that Christ is at the same time man and God ("fully human and fully divine"). They only disagree about how precisely that works.
