Ancient Greece and Rome were heavily patriarchal.

They didn't believe in homosexuality, they believed in men using other men in the place of women, what would be potentially humiliating to said "used" men and meant their potential social rejection and ostracism especially past certain age.

Only if said men were of a higher or equal social standing; those of lower social standing were able to be "bottoms"; Roman culture attributed sexual dominance to social dominance.

Social dominance had a correlation with sexual dominance, but correlation does not equate to causation. From the Exodus to the incident at the Jewish Museum in Brussels, antisemitism has plagued the world for years and recently it has been on the increase.

So, NSG, why is there antisemitism and why is it so widespread, even in societies that tend to be accepting of other races and religions?

My opinion is that there are five types of antisemitism, each unique but all similar.

1) Anti-Jewish religion: Mainly influenced by fanatical Christians, Atheists and Muslims, this form of antisemitism is mostly gone but it is still prevalent amongst second and third world nations, uneducated parts of the first world and militant atheists in first world countries. It uses the argument that Jews killed or disturbed their religious leaders and/or practices/beliefs and that Judaism is morally wrong or "evil".
2) Anti-Jewish success: This form of antisemitism is usually caused by people who are jealous of the many Jews in power both in the government and private sector and other things such as Ashkenazi intelligence and the creation of the State of Israel, transitioning me to the next type of antisemitism.
3) Anti-Israeli: This is the form that's easiest to disguise and pretend it's only a political view, it's usually not. There is no reason to be against Israel and/or Jewish nationalism and it is mostly an excuse for antisemitism.
4) Anti-Jewish ethnicity: The worst type of antisemitism- racial. This is the type propagated by the Nazis and it started the holocaust. Fortunately, it isn't the dominant form today.
5) Anti-Jewish culture: A hate for Jewish culture and customs, no different than any other cultural prejudice.

It is my belief that these five forms of antisemitism cause hate and we can only decrease antisemitism through education and try teaching acceptance to future generations. Antisemitism will never die, but we need to try our best to end it.

1) Such a hatred is not due to a hatred of Judaism, but a central belief that one's beliefs are inherently more "correct" or better than the others.

2) Such a hatred was mostly prevalent in Nazi Germany, and propagated through the "Jews love Money" stereotype. Not many people envy the successes of the Jews in states where social mobility seems like a possibility.
