Cameron, if you think you're the new Jesus or whatever, could you maybe try to express that by curing leapers or turning water into wine.
(An easy way to do that would be to get a glass of really pale chardonnay, tell everyone it's water, wave your hand over it and then hand it over. They'll drink it and be all like: 'Yeah! that is wine now, you're a genius'... I'm pretty sure that's how Jesus did it.)

Seriously, this is the worst country in the world for internet freedoms... I mean the worst democracy in the world... Except Iceland... And maybe France...
It's pretty bad... And soon we'll all have forgotten that the government letting you go on sites they haven't pre-approved is 'normal.'

Did they have Chardonnay in Israel back then?
Riesling would also work.

I hate Tories. If I see a Tory, I eat a Tory.
A small and relatively wealthy parliamentary republic with a population of 1.2 million, covering most of northern Yorkshire in Britain, which became independent from the UK in 1987 in the desire to create a state which prioritises civil rights, social mobility, individuality and heterogeneity above all else. It's noted for it's absence of a gender-binary, it's highly progressive taxation and very well funded welfare state.

Offer to educate parents in how to implement parental controls on family computers. But that's probably too much for the gov't. They can't even update operating systems properly, so they instead spend hundreds of millions of pounds to pay Microsoft to keep support going beyond its expiration.

The last thread of this nature was about making parental controls on computers easier to implement. I believe the responses were entirely the same. half thought it was a perfectly reasonable measure and the other half thought it was a harbinger of the fourth reich.

And so, a forty year old woman gets a bit curious about porn, but finds that she needs to switch her ISP filters off and then provide information about herself to the site just to watch it, it's that dangerous! And as a result realizes that her friends at church were right to say it was disgusting and sinful and wrong, and decides not to.

Sure, something like that though with less religious tones.

Make it a hassle and a lot of people won't do it. Add the potential for embarrassment and it makes it that much more convincing.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

you know, i'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner, you think after the thousands of documentaries explaining why porn is bad, someone in the government would go "why don't we just make users prove there 18 and older". another question is did they explain what kind of style there going to make people prove their 18, because if its like "enter your month, date, and year you were born" then theirs nothing for the masses to cry about
