In commenting on China, the new government which came into power last year is going for a smaller much more professional military. Has for Russia, the Russians still have good scientist and engineers who are busy inventing new military systems.

China I would think is more interested in being a major greater regional power then get involved militarily worldwide. Russia just seems to want to maintain its current status quo.

Romania has historical claims to regions today inside Ukraine. The Soviets took it from them. It was then made part of Soviet Ukraine. Soviets even took some Romanian island near the Danube which ended up in Soviet Ukraine. The Soviets also made sure to have a piece of the Danube river. Romanians not happy about all this even today. Not too long ago, the Romanians and Ukrainians went to the ICJ on some territorial waters demarcation problem.

Has for the Ukrainians, they do not trust the Romanians. This will explain it all.

Your arguments don't make sense.

For what political purposes? For international relations because they're allied with Western nations? Such assumptions ignore the reality of the situations present not only in Northeast Asia, but in the world outside of the West as a whole.

First of all, South Korea is relatively friendly with China due to both having experienced a brutal time due to Japanese imperialism, and do significant trade with each other. China has stated it would be perfectly fine with the South taking over the North, so long as the process was not done in a violent manner.

Pakistan is an ally of the United States, and was in SEATO with the United States. Do you consider Pakistan a Western nation?

You say that Japan and South Korea are Western nations as they're allied to Western countries. However, by saying those very words you're excluding them from being Western countries, denoting them as mere associates.

You then merely repeat the answer that Japan and South Korea are merely Western countries without defining anything and repeating phrases you've been repeating throughout the thread.
